Post-merger Navigator Holdings explores ammonia as fuel and CO2 carriers

Navigator Holdings is gearing up for ammonia fuelling and to carry CO₂.

On the gas carrier company's third-quarter earnings call on Tuesday, chief commercial officer Oeyvind Lindeman said the New York-listed company was working with classification society DNV GL on ammonia as fuel.

And it is working with American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) on systems for CO₂ transportation.

"Both projects fit with our own strategic objective for industrial shipping, being the logistics partner directly with producers and end-users," Lindeman said.
