A Dorian LPG ship has taken the first cargo from Phillips 66 LPG expert terminal Freeport, Texas.

The 84,000-cbm Commander (built 2015) was the cargo, marking a key milestone in the growth of US exports on very large gas carriers.

"The new liquefied petroleum gas export terminal gives customers the ability to place multi-grade LPG products directly into global markets through Port Freeport, which provides immediate bluewater access with minimal congestion," said Greg Garland, chief executive at downstream energy company Phillips 66.
