Energy giant Petronas has started LNG production from its second floating LNG (FLNG) production unit off Malaysia.
The 1.5-million-tonne-per-annum capacity PF LNG Dua, which is currently located at the Rotan gas field, 140 km (about 90 miles) off Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in east Malaysia, took in its first gas on 6 February.
Petronas said it is expected to deliver its first LNG cargo to customers by mid-March, the company said.
