Malaysia's Petronas has carried out its first LNG fuelling operation using its new bunker vessel to supply a Siem Car Carriers newbuilding.
Avenir LNG's 7,500-cbm newbuilding Avenir Advantage, which is on a three-year charter to the state energy company, bunkered the recently delivered, 7,500-ceu car carrier Siem Aristotle to the south of Pasir Gudang Port in Johor state.
The Avenir Advantage transferred 3,000-cbm of LNG to the car carrier on 9 November, according to the Marine Department Malaysia (JLM).
