Market sources claim the distributor has fixed the 84,000-cbm newbuildings, which are due for delivery in 2016, to Oriental Energy of China.
Citing a regulatory filing issued by the charterer they say the trio was taken for up to ten years but note the day rate wasn’t disclosed.
Following today’s deal observers are quick to point out that Oriental has fixed over a dozen newbuildings from third parties in total since the second quarter of 2014.
