Oman has awarded a $600m contract that will see the country get its first major LPG export terminal.

London-based contractor Petrofac announced the deal with the country's state-owned Oman Oil Facilities Development Company to build the Salalah LPG extraction plant.

The Salalah plant will be able to produce up to 268,000 metric tonnes per year of LPG, along with 70,000 metric tonnes per year of condensate.

The
