Dutch fuels producer and supplier OCI Global is starting to speak to shipowners about the supply of ammonia as a marine fuel in the wake of its recent deals on green methanol.
Speaking on a second quarter results briefing chief executive Ahmed El Hoshy said described green methanol as a “safe, efficient and commercially-ready fuel for commercial shipping adding that the company is providing proof of concept with the supply deals for AP Moller-Maersk and X-Press Feeders which it has inked.
