Novatek ships first Yamal LNG to CNOOC

Russian producer Novatek has sent its first Yamal LNG cargo to China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC).

The gas stem was delivered to Fujian LNG Terminal in China via the Northern Sea Route (NSR) by an Arc7 ice-class LNG carrier in 20 days, it said.

The NSR part took seven and a half days.

“We expanded our customer base in China by shipping our first cargo of LNG to CNOOC,” said Novatek chairman Leonid Mikhelson.
