Offers are being sought for the seven LNG carriers that serve Australia’s North West Shelf (NWS) export project as the ships near the end of their long-term contracts.

In a process being handled jointly by shipbrokers Braemar ACM and Fearnleys, expressions of interest have been invited for six Japanese-constructed, Moss-type LNG carriers built between 1989 and 1994. Also on the block is one 14-year-old, South Korean-built membrane-type vessel.
