In a statement the New York-quoted operator said Flaherty will serve as its director of fleet and technical operations.
“Paul will be responsible for our fleet in service and will develop our systems and procedures to provide the backbone of our growing shipping business,” the owner added.
Prior to JP Morgan Navigator noted that Flaherty was with BP Shipping for nearly two decades and is familiar with both crude and gas-carriers.
