Total-led Mozambique LNG has trimmed its shortlist of selected shipowners to build up to 17 gas carriers to serve its under-construction liquefaction project.
Sources following the business said online meetings took place in April and named the four left in the running as John Angelicoussis-led Maran Gas Maritime and Japan’s Big Three: MOL, NYK Line and K Line.
This would mean that from the original “long list” of seven owners, BW LNG, GasLog and Teekay LNG Partners are no longer competing for the work.
