Mitsui OSK Lines has returned to Samsung Heavy Industries for more very large ethane carrier newbuildings.
The Tokyo-based company announced today that it has contracted the South Korean shipyard to build two 100,000-cbm newbuildings for delivery in 2028.
MOL did not disclose the price of the VLECs but said the gas carriers are to be equipped with ethane dual-fuel propulsion engines.
