MAN Energy Solutions says two LNG carriers fitted with its discontinued ME-GA engine suffered breakdowns over the summer.
In a webinar on its ME-GA engine, hosted by head of two-stroke Thomas Hansen and head of cylinder condition Jesper Mark Pedersen, the company said “a couple of incidents” had occurred on two vessels, involving three engines where there were “seizure occurrences”.
