Seafarers on an LPG carrier marooned off Djibouti appear to have been caught up in a tug-of-war between the vessel's owner and charterer over a part-discharged cargo.

The crew of the 6,505-cbm LPG carrier Windsor (built 1996) sent out what they called a "mayday" at the end of last week.

They claim they were owed two months back wages and wanted to be repatriated from the ship as the conditions the owner expected them to work under were untenable.
