Less fresh LNG production came onstream in the first half of 2018 than expected and liquefaction units experienced outages indicating that the year-end total could be down on anticipated volumes, one forecaster said.
Independent consultant and statistician Andy Flower said global LNG production had been expected to grow by around 30 million tonnes this year, but looks set to fall short of this by at least five million tonnes.
