Every leading containership operator is sitting on -designs for LNG-fuelled large boxships in all sizes, equipment manufacturers say.
But they are not talking too loudly about these. And, as one manufacturer pointed out: “It’s not as though anybody is rushing out and ordering ships right now.”
In the hyper-competitive containership world, market players say that if one operator switched to gas fuelling, the rest would probably follow.
