The recovery in LNG freight rates looks set to continue thanks to a combination of a returning price arbitrage and demand recovery in Asia, says a leading analyst.
“LNG shipping demand and freight rates will benefit from further spread widening between Asian spot LNG and gas prices in the US and Europe,” said Bloomberg senior transport industry analyst Rahul Kapoor.
