An LNG carrier that suffered engine failure while laden and under way in the Pacific has been repaired.
A spokesman from crisis response manager MTI Network Asia told TradeWinds that repairs to the 174,000-cbm Cesi Gladstone (built 2016) have been carried out to the satisfaction of class for the vessel to resume its voyage.
He said the LNG ship, which arrived in Papua New Guinea under tow last month, was awaiting the arrival of spare parts and would carry out final repairs and maintenance as approved by class and the authorities en route.
