Spot LNG carrier rate assessments on routes to the Far East continued upwards today as gas demand for heating soars across Asia in the face of freezing temperatures not seen for decades.
The Baltic Exchange upped its LNG rate assessments on its two Japan-bound routes on Tuesday.
The exchange bumped up its BLNG3 route from the US Gulf to Tokyo by $24,784 per day to $253,270 per day.
