Japan’s Kyoei Tanker is said to have struck a deal with Hyundai Mipo Dockyard for one 22,000-cbm LPG carrier newbuilding.
Shipbuilding sources said the company had ordered the semi-refrigerated gas carrier against a long-term time charter to French outfit Geogas Trading. The rate and period were not disclosed.
The sources named Kyoei as being behind the order of a single LPG ship that HMD announced on 11 March.
