Kuwait Oil Tanker Co's (KOTC) 78,000-cbm Gas Al Mutlaa (built 1993) that was reported sold this week for $8m will be removed from the gas trades at the hands of ship recyclers on the Indian subcontinent.
TradeWinds understands from sources within KOTC that the ship is being replaced by the first of three VLGCs that the company has under construction at Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea.
