Newly founded Ecobunker Shipping of Japan has confirmed it will place an order for a second LNG bunker vessel — just two months after contracting its first.
Yokohama-Kawasaki International Port Corp (YKIP) chief executive Masamichi Morooka, whose company is one of three partners in Ecobunker, told TradeWinds the outfit will order at least one more newbuilding.
He ties the decision to Ecobunker's optimism that more shipping companies will choose to fuel their vessels with LNG.
