Ireland’s government has given the go-ahead to build a floating storage and regasification-based LNG import terminal.
The country plans to install a 170,000-cbm FSRU, but the location for it has not been decided.
The terminal project will be overseen by the state and owned by its system operator, Gas Networks Ireland.
