A major Indian oil company plans a new LPG import project, which will boost the country’s ability to handle VLGC-size cargoes.
State-owned Bharat Petroleum won regulatory approval to build the import terminal at the Haldia Dock Complex along the Bay of Bengal. The terminal will be capable of handling one million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of refrigerated LPG, and will have related additional infrastructure for bottling and distribution of LPG.
