Hyundai Heavy Industries and Samsung Heavy Industries have become the latest shipbuilders to scoop up orders for LNG carrier newbuildings.
Hyundai said it had secured orders for two gas carriers, but gave few other details in its regulatory filing other than to say the buyer was European.
However, t he shipbuilder did say that the order took its year-to-date newbuilding order tally to 29 ships worth a total of $2bn.
