Future plans for the world’s first liquefied hydrogen carrier and how it will be deployed and possibly altered are under discussion as the groundbreaking vessel continues a tour of ports in Asia and the Middle East.
At Gastech officials from Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI), which built the 1,250-cbm Suiso Frontier (built 2020), told TradeWinds that the ship’s stakeholder partners are discussing whether to continue lifting test cargoes out of Australia for shipment to Japan.
