Hartmann Gas Carriers of Germany is moving into the handysize LPG carrier segment by purchasing a newbuilding from Nantong Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering in China.
The 22,000-cbm ship was originally ordered by Norway's Odfjell, but the contract was cancelled after heavy delays.
The German shipowner is believed to be paying $45m for the vessel.
