Cargo containment system designer GTT forecasts that between 285 and 305 LNG carriers will be needed in the coming decade
In a results briefing, GTT chairman and chief executive Philippe Berterottiere said the Paris-listed company’s figure is higher than that given previously since it includes vessels needed for fleet replacement.
The company expects between 25 to 40 very large ethane carriers (VLECs) will be required in the period to 2029 to cope with the export push from the US.
