France’s GTT has won approval for a new version of its long-standing NO96 LNG cargo containment system that will allow shipyards who build it to offer the same boil-off rate (BOR) as the company's alternative Mark III design.
GTT says NO96 Flex, which will offer a cargo BOR of 0.07% per day based on a standard 174,000-cbm LNG carrier, has received Approval in Principle from French classification society Bureau Veritas.
