Some 255m tonnes of green methanol could be required for marine fuelling by 2050, engine designer MAN Energy Solutions said.
Speaking on a webinar on methanol as a marine fuel, MAN head of two-stroke sales and promotion Thomas Hansen said the company sees a need for around 128m tonnes of green methanol by 2040, rising to the higher figure 10 years later.
