Three Golar LNG-controlled floating storage and regasification units have this week been moving into position ahead of project start-ups.
The FSRU Golar Freeze (built 1977) finally left Dubai, where it had been lying idle before undergoing works, to start a charter with Miami-based New Fortress Energy (NFE) in Jamaica.
It will supply a 94MW gas-fired power plant that NFE is building for the Jamaica Public Service Co to serve the island’s Jamalco bauxite operations.
