Excelerate confirmed industry talk Monday that Dubai Supply Authority (Dusup) will take one of its 150,000-cbm FSRUs on charter for a period of 10 years.
The FSRU will be located at DUSUP’s existing Jebel Ali LNG import terminal and is due to be in service from April 2015 to cover the dry-docking of the existing FSRU Golar Freeze. Excelerate said its unit will then be specially upgraded in the latter half of 2015 to be capable of a regasification capacity of 800 million cubic feet per day for service from 2016.
