Australia's Global Energy Ventures (GEV) has negotiated more time to confirm an order for as many as eight compressed natural gas (CNG) vessels.
The company signed a letter of intent at the start of July for four firm Optimum 200 units with China's CIMC Raffles.
This gave it 90 days to finalise a deal.
