GasLog called for more measured contracting of LNG newbuildings as it rang in record results for the third quarter.
Peter Livanos-backed GasLog says its spot ships recorded their best quarterly results since it helped set up the Cool Pool, with rates now matching the $150,000 per day record set more than half a decade ago.
However, with Poten & Partners counting 41 newbuildings added to the LNG carrier orderbook this year and 96 vessels now on order, the shipowner struck a cautious note on the need for extra capacity.
