Gas buyer Gail (India) has gone back to shipowners for a second time asking them to extend the validity of the offers for a further week on the LNG carriers being proposed against a medium-term chartering requirement.
Sources say Shipping Corp of India (SCI), which is handling the process for Gail, has requested an extension until 15 June.
They comment that SCI is struggling to weigh up and compare all the different offers it has received on the business.
