Novatek-led Yamal LNG has used an ice class 2 LNG carrier to export the first cargo from its newly started up second liquefaction train.
Sovcomflot (SCF Group) said the 170,200-cbm Pskov (built 2014) completed loading at Sabetta on Wednesday and is heading westwards along the Northern Sea Route without icebreaker assistance.
The ship, which is a relet from its long-term charterer Gazprom Marketing & Trading, has a reinforced membrane-type containment system.
