A 41-year-old LNG carrier has been sold for demolition in what appears to be the first scrap sale for the sector in 2020.
Specialist brokers said the 126,000-cbm carrier GCL (ex-LNG Libra, built 1979), which is listed as having a 28,525 ldt, has been sold to scrap buyers in India.
But a price has still to emerge on the deal for the Moss-type ship, which formerly traded as the LNG Libra.
