An LNG bunker barge newbuilding constructed in the US is due to be delivered today by Conrad Shipyard.
The 2,200-cbm Clear Jacksonville has just completed LNG trials at shipower and operator Harvey Gulf’s Port Fourchon LNG bunkering facility in Louisiana.
Harvey Gulf said the barge loaded about 220,000 gallons of LNG during the trials “without any incidents”.
The barge discharged 142,000 gallons of LNG into three shore-side tanks to simulate a bunkering operation at multiple transfer rates and pressures, Harvey Gulf said.
