A cargo of ethane has left the US for India on the world’s first very large ethane carrier (VLEC) marking the start of new long-haul trade in the product.
The 87,000-cbm newbuilding Ethane Crystal left Enterprise Products Partners’ new Morgan’s Point ethane export facility on the Houston Ship Channel this week and is currently shown as due to arrive in Dahej, India on 31 January.
