Malaysia’s Petronas has scored a world first with the sailaway of what looks set to become the world’s first floating LNG (FLNG) production unit.
PFLNG Satu left DSME’s Okpo shipyard, where it has been built in partnership with Technip, under tow on Saturday
The floater was originally due to leave the yard at the end of April and arrive on location 180-kilometres offshore Bintulu in mid-May where it will be used to monetise the Kanowit gasfield.
