Houston-based Excelerate Energy says its first floating storage and regasification unit for Bangladesh has started delivering gas to the country’s Chittagong region.
The 138,000-cbm FSRU Excellence (built 2005) has been installed as the regas unit for the new Moheshkhali Floating LNG (MLNG) facility - Bangladesh's first LNG import terminal - in the Bay of Bengal.
Excelerate said in a statement that Excelerate Energy Bangladesh completed the commissioning of its Moheshkhali terminal on 18 August.
