French energy company Engie withdrew its medmax capacity LNG carrier from sale after marketing the ship last year and has returned the vessel to its fleet.

Company executive vice-president shipping Peter Justesen, who was speaking to TradeWinds at Gastech last week, confirms that Engie tested the market for its 74,130-cbm GDF Global Suez Energy (built 2006) last year.

He said the company was pleased to see there was “a clear interest for the ship from a number of parties”.
