Japan’s Eneos Ocean, the former JX Ocean, has ordered newbuildings for the first time under its new name.
Shipbuilding sources said the Yokohama-based outfit is behind an order for two VLGCs that Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE) disclosed on 9 March, without revealing its counterparty at the time.
They added that Hyundai Heavy Industries will construct the two 91,000-cbm VLGC newbuildings.
