Egypt’s Damietta LNG plant ships first cargo in nine years

Egypt has fired up its second and long-idled Damietta LNG plant and exported a first cargo onto a Golar LNG vessel.

The 162,000-cbm Golar Glacier (built 2014) left the facility on Monday. Tracking data shows the vessel heading into the Suez Canal.

Egypt's Ministry of Transport and the Damietta Port Authority released a video of the vessel at the facility.
