South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has finally signed contracts to build six high specification LNG carriers worth KRW 2 trn ($1.7bn) that will be used by Russian gas company Novatek and its partners to ship cargoes from the Arctic region.
DSME said it had inked the two separate deals with two European companies without naming them.
