Dorian LPG has finally seen fit to spend on a newbuilding.
Alongside its quarterly earnings release on Wednesday, the Connecticut-based VLGC owner divulged that it has a dual-fuel, 84,000-cbm shallow-draught vessel under construction at Kawasaki Heavy Industries due for delivery in March 2023.
Chief executive John Hadjipateras described the move as "putting our toe in the water with dual fuel" as the company has eight ships that can be retrofitted to run on both LPG and conventional fuel.
