US shipowner Crowley has finally emerged in public with what is the first LNG carrier to be reflagged to the US under a loophole in the Jones Act.
Crowley said its 130,405-cbm LNG carrier American Energy (ex-Intan, built 1994), which will have a US crew, has begun operations as the first domestic LNG carrier to transport US LNG to Puerto Rico.
