Hong Kong’s CLP Power has gone out to the market in search of a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) to supply two gas-fired power plants.
Industry sources say CLP has floated a request for proposals in the market for an FSRU, which is required to be in operation by 2020.
The company is understood to be open to offers on newbuildings, existing tonnage, and proposals involving vessel conversions, and has specified some level of experience.
