Evangelos Marinakis-led Capital Maritime & Trading has swooped on a pair of VLCC newbuilding resales originally contracted by Greece’s Athenian Sea Carriers.
Brokers and tanker market players said the two scrubber-fitted, 300,000-dwt ships are optional vessels declared by Kyriakou family-controlled Athenian as part of a four-ship order placed at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in early December.
