Canada officially tacked on another 15 years of LNG exports from the Woodfibre LNG project off the coast of British Columbia.

The Pierre Trudeau-led government said it has approved a 40-year export licence for Woodfibre LNG, a pro-forma step after the company received an approval from the country's National Energy Board last month.

Woodfibre LNG had originally applied for and received a 25-year export licence when it was first pitched back in 2013.
